Shaker Double Hinged Oval Carrier

This exceptionally beautiful design, with its double-hinged lid, is reproduced from an original carrier found at the Canterbury, New Hampshire Shaker community. It keeps needlework projects clean and out of the way or can be used to store any number of other things. This is made from select Pennsylvania cherry, secured by solid copper tacks. The top is solid clear cherry, with brass hinges. Hand-rubbed oil finish. The inside is unfinished.
