Tape Back Armchair

These chairs are based upon an original design by the Mt. Lebanon Shakers in 1860. The backposts are bent to the rear and the back rails are generously curved, so that the back ‘fits’ a person - short or tall - perfectly. The height and overall dimensions were all thoughtfully worked out to be an extremely comfortable chair made by the Shakers.
